Still chasing the next sale, wanting to hit that next income level, but as soon as that money is in, it’s gone just as fast.

When I first started out I thought the aim was to make 6 figures, that when I got there I will have made it.

That problems would be solved, that I would feel free.

The only issue is that when I did I always seemed to find more things to spend that money on.

My income would increase

And all of a sudden I wanted that better car, or to renovate the house or to buy nicer things.

My point and big mistake - is as my income went up so did my expenses.

I would even find myself researching the next big purchase before the cash even came in and being ready to purchase when it did.

This is what I call expense creep.

As our income goes up so does our expenses and what watch out for here too because sometimes those expenses go up even higher than the income.

Also it’s acceptable….

People around you get excited when you are making those big purchases and spending more money and flashing cash

The big problem is though this keeps you stuck in a cycle of money in money out, it keeps you stuck with all those commitments, with the lifestyle you have built yourself and it’s a trap a lot of people just never really get out of.

But if you are here I am guessing you do actually want to get ahead financially and that you did not grow your business to just get by, that you wanted to get ahead and have freedom. The issue is now you are trapped chasing the next sale only to pay the next bill or get the next thing.

So how do you get out of this cycle?

First step is to recognise you are in it, and that you want it to be different.

Second, you have to know what that different is, and have a plan to get there.
